Board Appoints New Directors

Previous Directors volunteered well over 50 years of cumulative service

At the request of the Executive Committee last year, the next generation has officially been handed the reins of the family organization.

Richard H. Clark, 72, had been serving as Treasurer since 1982. (40 years!) During his tenure he successfully oversaw donations and the help the organization finance several seminal projects, one being our new website in 2022, the beginning of the restoration of the Ezra T. Clark home in 2021, the publication of Timothy Baldwin in 2017 and Noble Pioneer in 2000 as well as the second edition of The Ancestors and Descendants of Ezra T. Clark –also affectionately referred to as the 'Green Book'. in 1996. These feats are on top of financial arrangements for 25+ reunions since '82. THANK YOU Richard!


Kelly Wight, 40, had been serving as Secretary since 2008 and continues her service as President. Kelly organized our organization's first online (and worddwide) reunion in 2021 that saw attendance of over 100 attendees in at least 15 states and 3 countries.
Rick Knowlton, 55, continues his service as Vice President since 2008
David S. Clark, 70, had been serving as president since 2015

The Ezra Thompson Clark Family organization was founded by Ezra T. Clark in 1901: its first executive committee consisted of Joseph S. Clark, Edward B. Clark and Amasa L. Clark. This committe served until 1955 (54 years). Joseph S. Clark, Amasa L. Clark and Heber D. Clark served as the executive committee from June 1955 to June 1963. Subsequent presidents have served two to three years each

• Removed temporary porch roofs added in 1990s and 2000s.
• Restored 1914 hip-style porch roof. Framing and sheathing is completed and weatherproofed for winter, awaiting installation of historic sawn cedar shingles.
• New underground power line trenches dug and conduit added.

• Entire east wing roof and second level roof weatherproofed for winter.
• Sewer line scoped to yard.

• Last three remaining rooms cleared of carpets, exposing wood and asbestos floors.
• Sewer scoped to street.

Feb 27, 2023
• Sewer line in parking strip exposed and mystery solved: Pipe drilled through by cable company.
• Flower beds cleared of volunteer trees


March 20, 2023
• Sewer lateral repaired in west yard and near front sidewalk.
• Privet Lodense hedges replanted, exisring hedges pruned to stimulate growth.
• East garden planted.
• New landscape irrigation system added for front yard.

May 23, 2023
• 2,000 SqFt of Grass in Parking Strip replanted
• 400 SqFt of Grass behind Hedges replanted

June 14, 2022
• Made wonderful discovery that entry hall ceiling originally opened to second level with wrap-around stairs. Plans will be adjusted and additional research conducted to restore this fabulous feature.

• New Pex culinary water lines added for main kitchen and bath

• Electric wiring updated on Front Porch to restore lanterns and lighting.
