Wealthy Richards was born 22 March 1861 in Farmington, Utah Territory to Franklin Dewey and Mary Thompson Richards. She grew up in Farmington and taught school in Davis county. When Wealthy was 16, she and Edward Barrett Clark started going to dances and other activities together for several years. After a short break up Wealthy decided she would become Edward's wife and they were married on 25 September 1879. Early in their marriage no children were born to them. Wealthy struggled a number of years with her health.
She was the second President of the Farmington Primary after Aurelia Rogers was released. Wealthy served for one year due to poor health. After her husband took another wife she was miraculous healed and was blessed with children. She was the mother of 7 children and had a set of twin boys who died soon after birth. Wealthy briefly served as secretary for the Charter Members of the First Camp of Aurelia Spencer Rogers for the Daughters of Utah Pioneers in May 1917. She was secretary for 20 years with the Farmington Y.L.M.I.A. Wealthy passed away on 11 May 1940 in Farmington and is buried in the city cemetery.
